Why We Why We Robot Vacuum And Mop (And You Should Also!)

Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are getting more efficient. They pass our cleaning tests, and are able to handle a variety of flooring. Choose models that allow users to select between different types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.

Many of the top models integrate with your smartphone. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, set schedules and select cleaning options.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and customize the S1's behavior.

The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms and also a large rugs and a medium-pile. It was able to drive close to walls and even across raised thresholds without any problems. However it had some issues navigating down the stairs in one go. The S1 also did a great job cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on the flat side against the floor and lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rug.

The docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and replenishes its water tank on board with clean, ozonated waters prior to every mopping session. The dock adds an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 mopping sessions, however this will differ dependent on how often you use the mop.

The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to wash out the dirty tank to prevent it from becoming blocked. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to keep them from becoming clogged with dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides a powerful solution for your cleaning requirements.  best automatic vacuum  boasts 8700Pa of suction and comes with numerous innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstructions and cleans furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor rather than simply drag the pad across it. The mops can be dried and cleaned at the base station when required.

This robot combo is easy to setup and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the procedure. It also comes with a hand-vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are also two water tanks that are automatically emptied or refilled. It has a variety of useful settings that allow you to fine tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily picks up most of the debris, and even tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also decent, but it can get stuck on small area mats and rugs at my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries within the app). The mopping capabilities are quite good as well, with two spinning mops that actually lift and scrub floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad over it. The mops can also be cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops can also be filled at the top of the station when needed.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest flagship robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our top list of robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush ensure a thorough, custom-designed clean.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It is a great choice on hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our tests' most filthy areas well, and keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other messes. The sweeping capability of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that automatically moves out to get into areas that are difficult to reach and mop pads that run along baseboards.

Its navigation is intelligent that can navigate tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without stepping back. It can go from one room to the next without having to change direction. This is useful for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than some competitors, and leaves a huge margin between obstacles. This can result in missed spots.

The app is streamlined, intuitive interface that should be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, change the suction power and mopping settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri which allows you to keep an eye on its progress from anywhere. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You'll require a reliable WiFi connection to use the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 pro

Robot vacuums are fantastic at picking up dirt and debris, but they aren't able to reach every speck of dust. This is why it's important to use your regular vacuum once every week, and especially to remove dust from corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that both vacuums and mop, is made to do exactly that. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network, and works with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your daily cleaning routine.

The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's less expensive because it doesn't have mopping capabilities, and also has an aluminum body.

The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've ever seen in this price range even though it's not able to clean your floor. It has a strong suction of 5500Pa and an automatic-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin by hand each time. It also has a clever application that lets you choose your floor's type and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.

Its mops are also impressive, with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dirt, dust, and pet hair on hard floors and carpets. The Q5 was among the few robots that we tested did not show issues with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it was able to not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't surprising, since it does NOT have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we have tested, it also utilizes a unique system to map your home this really helps it get into places that other vacuums are unable to reach. This device also stores dust in a larger dustbin which means you need to empty it less often. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters which further reduces the costs associated with using the device. This robot can detect carpets, and increase suction if needed. The app also lets you to mark off areas that you want it to avoid this is a useful feature.
